CELEBRATING VIBRANCY OF LIFE A one-stop community-cum-commercial mixed use development, Sama square is a flagship project that brings together a whole fleet of programme under one roof. The design proposal in inspired by the genius loci of the site with the aspiration from the developer team which is to build a vibrant community, setting a new landmark at Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. The project helms the exploration of inter-community dynamics and urban densities in land scarce Setapak, KL, where the increased stress on the ground level demands creative ways of intensifying land use. Treating the ground plane as a huge plane where the scheme’s main innovation anchors upon a layered ‘club sandwich’ approach. This comprises of a vibrant, public people’s plaza that connected with sheltered tropical community market, food court and clustered landscaped retail.
Strategic pocket spaces and diverse shops in the urban plan foster community connections, while vibrant facades and inclusive venues warmly welcome the local community.
